Creating a Scientific Superpower Conference

This major conference, with speakers including AstraZeneca, UKRI, Oxford Properties, Harwell Campus, bit.bio and many more, will bring together leading scientists, government ministers, scientific enterprises and investors with more than 400 delegates to discuss how the UK can become a scientific superpower. It will take place at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster and is free to attend.

Our CEO Dr Mark Kotter will be part of a panel discussion: "What does the S&T sector need to grow within the Oxford-Cambridge Arc?" on 20th June at 11:20am BST.

You will learn about:

  • How do we create placed based strategies to meet the needs of the R&D sector, its people and the local community?
  • With a lack of available space - how do we unlock planning constraints to enable the R&D sector to reach its full potential?
  • How do we create an environment to attract the best scientific talent and ensure our skills gaps are bridged?
  • How does the funding environment need to evolve to supercharge the UK’s R&D sector?
  • How do we foster relationships with local communities and enhance benefit on the local area?
  • What role can the Arc play in the national supply chain to support levelling up?
